Oliver had his first stay at Auntie Barbara’s Bed Bath & Biscuit this week and he got a dazzling review. Auntie Barbara said that he was a complete lover that came when he was called and is welcome to come stay with her any time. I knew he had it in him!
Mike had the computer on his lap today watching some videos to prepare for his upcoming test. They must have been riveting because both of them fell asleep while the webcam was running! Oliver loves stealing pillow space and we can’t seem to tell him no.
Ollie needs a snuggle bag as much as I need a shower stool. It’s a luxury. Something to make life a little easier. A little more enjoyable. And that’s what a weiner dog needs, isn’t it? Something to make them more comfortable because their life is so difficult. Ha.
I was just talking to my sister about dogs, and she said that she seems people with dachshunds every day in New York City. I rarely see someone out and about with a dachshund, and realized that until my parents got their dachshund, Mister Floyd, I had never seen a weiner dog in real life. They were like a mythical creature to me. I knew they existed, but I didn’t have any real interaction with them, so they weren’t really on my radar. Kind of like CAT6 cords.
Home improvements just won’t be the same in the Stewart house ever again. Martha Stewart announced today that her Chow Chow, Kublai Khan Paw Paw Chow Chow Chow (known as Paw Paw), passed away this past weekend at age 13. Paw Paw was a regular on Martha’s show, in her magazine, and in numerous print and television advertisements. He passed away quietly and peacefully and will be missed.
Ollie is a friendly dog, but he barks. A lot. And he barks at other dogs because he wants to play with them. He thinks every dog is his friend.
There’s a guy with a black lab in our apartment complex, and he doesn’t quite comprehend that yes, Ollie is going to bark when you bring your massive black lab within 20 feet of him because he thinks he’s a massive weiner dog and wants to play.
I think he needs some air purifiers, because he has to be smoking something not to realize that Ollie has barked at him four times in two days because he brings his dog right up to us whenever we’re outside, but doesn’t let the dogs play!
I was so excited when my sister sent me the link to Ihasahotdog the other day, I almost needed a new pair of Danskos I stomped my foot so hard while laughing.
The best part is that you can sort by breed, so you can look at all the hysterical dachunsd photos at once! I dare you to look at keeps meh saif and not laugh. Dare. You.
The weather was dry, but cold, today so we were able to head to the fairgrounds for a walk. The past week has been rainy and windy, and Ollie has a lot of pent up energy that needs to be burned off. The paths are nice and paved at the fairgrounds, cars are minimal so we don’t have to worry if drivers have car insurance, and Ollie is very calm there, so it is a perfect place to exercise.
