I read every night before bed, and Ollie always noses his way in to see what I’m reading and to steal some attention.
Since moving to Texas earlier this month, things have been tough. I’m currently looking for a job and my husband started a job he’s not too crazy about. We’d love to have secure jobs and be in a position to buy a house with a big backyard for Ollie by this time next year, which means we could use a little advice from author Allison Maslan’s new book, Blast Off!
This new book, which was released on January 19th, tackles issues such as securing your financial freedom and wealth, taking your career to the next level, finding inspired in your daily life, and finding a life partner to share your newfound wealth and prosperity with. Goals I think all of us would like to work towards.
Blast Off! is available on Amazon for only $24 – a small investment if you’re looking to reach your dreams!

Ollie is modeling his newest accessory – a custom dog tag from Jean Skipper Originals!

For safety, Ollie’s name and (my) contact phone number are on one side of his tag. On the other side, Jean added his blog name!
You can’t get any more custom than that! I was so tickled when I saw that Jean had added that special touch.

Jean’s handstamped metal tags, jewelry, and accessories are all original creations. She’s a skilled mixed media artist that works in copper, brass and silver with hints of pearls, crystals and other treasures.
Whether you have a dachshund or a whippet, her adorable pet tags are handstamped created just for your pet when you order.

See that dog? That is a dog that has turned over a new leaf since arriving in Austin.
He hasn’t depended on the puppy pad (which may be because we’ve been more diligent taking him out since there isn’t 9 inches of snow on the ground), went for a walk at Zilker Park around lots of people and other dogs without having a meltdown, and even went for a dip in Barton Springs .
What a good dog!
Another adorable weiner dog find on Etsy!

This guy is one of the doxies in the Bag O’Doxies, and he has a place of honor on top of the refrigerator next to all of Ollie’s treats. Five little dachshunds, each with a different color collar, come in a draw string bag to help teach your little one colors and counting. Each little doxie is hand stitched and perfect!
And if you’re looking for a very special Valentine’s gift, order the adorable little Valentine dachshund! Does he not just make you melt?!

Ollie is quite the seasoned traveler. He spent 20 hours in the car as my co-pilot from Chicago to Austin. Co-pilots don’t usually sleep as much as he did, unless they work for Delta, but I’ll cut him some slack because he’s so darn cute.
