I was doing a little online shopping last week when I hit an error page on Zappos. Normally this would not make me happy – I really wanted those shoes!

Apparently Zappos realizes that weiner dogs make everything better, because instead of getting frustrated, I smiled at the picture of Dash and went on browsing.

I am a sucker for baby clothes that feature dachshunds.

(The tag says babyGap, but I don’t see the onesie on their site. Sad!)

Over the past several weeks, Ollie and I have made a habit of taking 2-3 walks every day. With temperatures topping 105 degrees the past several days, we haven’t been able to pound the pavement, which left Ollie with some pent up energy…

I was out of town last week, so Ollie spent five days at the Austin Pet Ranch. It was his second stay since we moved to Austin and he seems to enjoy his time there. The facilities are spic & span and the staff is super friendly (though I wish they’d spruce up the outside area a bit) so I feel comfortable leaving Ollie in their capable hands.

Plus, I have no doubt that he gets lots of playtime, because he’s been recuperating on the couch since he got home on Monday. I hope he’s well rested by his next stay in September!

Don’t mind the dog hair on Ollie’s blanket. It is his blanket. And his hair.

Fine. I admit it. I own dachshund jewelry. A brooch.
