Have a crazy dog? One that’s had a nice long walk yet continues to run in circles for no darn good reason? Take their favorite blanket, warm it up in the dryer, and watch as they transform!

Particularly useful for settling down exuberant dachshunds.

I’m a bit obsessed with Adele at the moment and until her new album is released (February 22nd – mark your calendars) I’ve been playing/watching/listening to her videos on YouTube. On repeat. Imagine my delight when I spotted her little dachshund making a cameo in the Someone Like You video!

We’re going to go for an extra long walk, indulge in some extra treats, and spend a few hours laying in the sun. Do you have any big plans this Valentine’s Day?

Yesterday was a beautiful day, cool and sunny, so we packed up the car and headed to Enchanted Rock State Park for a afternoon of hiking and sightseeing.

We may have gotten ourselves in over our heads with three hours of hiking and some (moderately intimidating) rock climbing, but Ollie did a great job keeping up and showed us exactly how nimble he is through the rocks and brush.

I think he enjoyed the views, too.

Let’s face it. Dachshunds are attention whores. The minute you’re not paying attention to them, they cause trouble in order to steal the spotlight.

Case in point: As I was folding laundry last week Ollie decided to take his agressions out on my blanket. When I caught him in the act, he froze long enough for me to take this photo, which says to me “I don’t plan on destroying this blanket this time, but I do plan on getting you to pay attention to me.”
