We spotted the first buds of wildflowers on our walk this week! Then immediately went home and made an appointment to see our friendly veterinarian so we don’t have a repeat of last year.

Ollie has a long history of being confused about his ethnicity, but we’re all Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, right?

Highs were in the mid 80′s in Austin last week, so we thought we’d go for a nice long walk to soak up the sun and blow off the stink. We’ve enjoyed such a long, mild winter that we forgot that 80 degrees is about the temperature at which Ollie refuses to walk more than a mile.

He plops his little butt down in the grass, and that’s that. It’s equally adorable and frustrating. Luckily, we had a pocket full of treats to coax Ollie through the rest of our walk.

Is there anything your pet absolutely refuses to do?

1. Go to the grocery and buy a bag of Fritos. Original only. Jumbo bag optional.

2. Open bag of Fritos.

3. Stick face in bag of Fritos.

4. Inhale deeply.
