Desperate Times..

Corrin | A Day in The Life,Around Town | Thursday, 28 April 2011

It may only be April, but we’ve already had some scorching hot days in Austin. Why else would Ollie voluntarily sit in the 69 degree water at Barton Springs? He usually swims to shore whenever he hits water.

Panda Express

Corrin | A Day in The Life,Around Town | Friday, 22 April 2011

While I was hard at work at my new job this week, sitting at my desk having a Coke and crackers for lunch, this video showed up in my inbox.

I wish someone would have brought me Panda Express for lunch.

Daytime

Corrin | A Day in The Life | Tuesday, 19 April 2011

Ollie loves to nap on top of the couch during the day because the couch is close to the door and high enough so that he can see out the windows and not miss any of the daytime action.

I can’t help but stop for a snuggle whenever I walk by.

I got caught mid-blink, but it looks like we’re napping together. Love.

It’s getting hot in here…

Ollie has the most adorable little habit of sticking his nose out from under the covers when he’s napping and gets too warm (because we all know it’s way too comfy under those covers to move completely). It’s the puppy equivilant of when I kick my feet out from under the blankets in the middle of the night.

See his little nose? Ah-dorable.

Allergies, Panic Attacks, and Puppy Dogs

Corrin | A Day in The Life | Tuesday, 05 April 2011

We made it to the vet just as the blue bonnets in the field behind our house started to bloom. As a preventive measure, Ollie is on a daily dose of Temaril (the equivalent of my Zyrtec – we take our allergy medicine together every morning) and has managed to avoid any itchy scratchy allergy symptoms so far this season.

Besides a full-blown puppy panic attack, complete with panting and ears so warm they felt like they were on fire (I’m not sure when this all started, and it’s not that bad, but he’s a little ball of nerves anytime we head to the vet lately), the vet said that Ollie is looking good and even lost a half pound (he’s working on losing some weight)!
