Since someone won’t go for a walk in the rain (or set foot on wet grass) and it’s been raining pretty consistently all week, we had to resort to other forms of exercise. Sock throwing, tricks, and a hour of tug-of-war, which resulted in a stalemate; each of us too stubborn to let go of the rope until the trash guy came around and I WON because Ollie tore off to the front door.

Victory is sweet. Even against a 12 pound wiener dog.

I’m in the middle of another photography class at the local art school and I’m always looking for subjects to shoot. After a long day at work, my options are limited, but Ollie is always a willing model.

It’s actually pretty funny how many of us in the class depend on our pets to be the subjects of our photos because we just can’t make it out to photograph people for our homework assignments. More often than children, in fact. Goes to show how integral our pets are in our lives!

Ollie is an angel…most days. And then we have days like today where all he does is stare at us and bark like he’s been possessed by the devil.

He’s still cute though.

My friend and fellow dachshund lover, Angie, shared this video on Facebook and guess who makes an appearance at 1:14? I had to watch it a few times just to make sure – but that’s Ollie in his cowboy hat!

He could totally take a honey badger.
