I was sent the worst PR pitch ever for the movie Frankenweenie – here’s a video, share it with your readers – but I knew I had to blog about it because, obviously.
Frankenweenie is, of course, produced by Tim Burton. Who co-wrote and produced the original Frankenweenie back in 1984. Surprisingly, neither star either Johnny Depp or Helena Bonham Carter, but Winona Ryder did snag a starring role in the latest rendition. I very much enjoy Tim’s animated features, though I gave up on his live action movies after the ill-fated Willy Wonka.
But Frankenweenie? Is not a weenie. Am I the only one questioning his teckel heritage? The original Frankenweenie was a Bull Terrier, so he’s getting closer, but still definitely not a weenie.
In case there was ever any questions that dachshunds are the most stylish of canines, I found this vintage photo of Grace Coddingham taken by Patrick Lichfield on March 18 of 1964 (which happens to be my birthday – the day, not the year).
I’m a bit obsessed with Adele at the moment and until her new album is released (February 22nd – mark your calendars) I’ve been playing/watching/listening to her videos on YouTube. On repeat. Imagine my delight when I spotted her little dachshund making a cameo in the Someone Like You video!
