This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of LeapFish Inc. All opinions are 100% mine. Please read my site policy if you have any questions.
If you don’t think the web has evolved over the years – please remember that you’re reading a blog authored (in part) by a weiner dog.
It never even crossed my mind 8 years ago (when I started blogging) that I would write (and people would read and I would make a little money from) a blog about a dachshund! I never thought I would friend or follow, host tweet-ups, or fly across the country to meet other bloggers.
And it just keeps growing.
A new breed of search engine, leapfish is helping to share my blog posts and Tweets with more people even faster than imagined. With real time search, users can tap into conversation while they are happening and opinions as they are being shared for a completely different web experience.
With Twitter and Facebook and GPS based location applications, there is no longer a lag in how quickly news and information reach those that are searching.
If you think the last ten years went fast on the web, wait till the next ten…
When I first got Ollie, he traveled with me every weekend from Indianapolis to Chicago to visit family. It didn’t take him long to learn to stay in the passengers seat and sleep or chew a bone while I drove. Now, Ollie loves to ride in the car and we frequently bring him along on errands and short road trips. He’s a great traveler and never interferes with our driving, but some pet owners aren’t so lucky!
Jeff Probst, host of Survivor, and his dog Cooper, has joined with Purina to teach pet owners how they can do more for pets in a series of short videos. One of their first videos includes tips on taking car trips with your pet.
Take a minute to watch…Great tips that make for safe travels with your dog!
Best homecoming ever! Thank you to all the men and women who have served in the military, and those who continue to do so. Happy Veterans Day!
After nearly eight months away from home on deployment with the U.S. Navy to Kuwait, my two dachshunds were very happy to see me again. Franklin is the black and tan male and Sally is the red/brown female. Both are two years old and both were rescue dogs. For more information contact Southern States Dachshund Rescue at ssdr.org and Dachshund Rescue of North America at drna.org for more dachshunds in need of a good home. They are the best dogs ever.
It’s so sad that these puppy mills are rampant in the state we live in. Thankfully, our local Humane Society is now taking care of some of these animals and they will be available for adoption later this summer. I can’t help but think what a good home we could give one of those dachshunds!
In the mean time, if you have a few extra dollars, the Humane Society of Northwest Indiana is short on many supplies to help care for these puppies and would deeply appreciate any donations!
You may have noticed that Ollie’s been testing some products lately and participating in sponsored conversation. We both really enjoy this aspect of blogging, and IZEA just released a great video that explains how sponsored conversations work and how they benefit everyone.
What do you think of Ollie’s reviews? Do you have a product that you would like Ollie to start a conversation about?
Weiner Takes All: A Dogumentary about the unsavory side of professional weiner dog racing is on my must see list. Weiner dog owners are a passioinate group of people (I’m including us in this group because…well, you are reading a website all about our weiner dog), so I can only imagine the competitiveness in the world of weiner dog racing!
Welcome to the world of competitive wiener dogs, a world that boasts healthy dachshunds and rabid owners. Unleash the truth as we track America’s sexiest and fastest weenies on the professional dachshund circuit.
We’ll be attending our first weiner dog races this July at Arlington Park and I must see the documentary before then!
