Sick Wiener
The itchy scratchies have reached epic proportions. Benadryl and Hot Spot ointment are no longer doing the trick, so we made Ollie an appointment to see the vet next weekend.
We also noticed a small area of swollen, saggy skin underneath his chin, which is worrisome.
Hopefully it’s all related to seasonal allergies and a quick shot will do the trick.

sulfodene! that’s the one i used to use, but couldn’t find, so we went to benedene.
have you noticed any fleas? i lived in an apartment complex where the grounds were absolutely infested, and every time we had to go outside, riley got chewed up – even on his flea meds. the hot spot stuff helped to soothe his bumpy redness and keep him from licking and biting, but he could never properly heal. thankfully we moved, and his hair is all growing back…
i don’t know what summers are like in chicago, but the move to texas’s warm climate might just be bringing out allergies you never knew he had. it is pretty bad right now.
